Markus Deutsch studied law at the Freie Universität in Berlin with a focus on corporate and tax law. Already in his legal traineeship he specialized in this area and worked in the tax firm Flick Gocke Schaumburg (FGS) and for the Berlin Ministry of Finance.
After the second legal state exam and his admittance as a lawyer he participated in an advanced training for tax law (Fachanwalt für Steuerrecht). Hereafter, Markus Deutsch worked with the international tax advisory firm Deloitte & Touche in all field of national and international tax law. He then continued to work at the German Tax Lawyers Association. In 2010 Markus Deutsch acquired his qualification as certified tax advisor. Since 2013 Mr. Deutsch is the owner and founder of a tax law boutique in Berlin Mitte.
Over the past years, Markus Deutsch is regularly approached by print media as well as radio and TV stations as an expert for various tax issues.
Since 2014 he is also an elected member of Berlin and Brandenburg's Tax Adviser Association.
